If you look closely, there are a variety of elements that went into each sign. My Illustrator art was printed on wood and cut to spec. Tube lighting was created by a vendor based off my Illustrator mapping and specs. We had a metal cutting room to plug our cut-files into and let the machine do its loud thing behind closed doors. Once cut, I would use the necessary hardware in the project area to assemble, sand/distress, and/or polish.

With a working average of 10 to 20 projects per day, these are only a handful of the projects I had a part in creating as a Production Designer. The signs were all designed and spec’d in Illustrator, and the metal was cut in-house. Once the rest of the pieces arrived, I hand-assembled each of them. Handles were designed in Illustrator, Photoshop (some handles were digitally sketched out, colored and spec’d, then sent to our team in China to build a sculpture and mould based off the rendering, such as with Angry Orchard’s handles) or Rhino.
