Costco Wholesale
The below "Before" and "After" images are from my previous time at Costco, as a Production Designer. Much of my time in that team was spent writing and proofing code, however the other portion of production tasks involved editing photos that came in from various vendors to make sure they were ready for Costco's website per their quality and brand standards (ie: white backgrounds with no shadows, clean, clear images). This often included fixing vendors' amateur Photoshop mistakes (See below). I also manipulated images photographed in less-than-ideal situations (like warehouse photos). There are plenty more examples to show as well. Editing photos like these were actually one of my favorite parts about working for this big entity. I'm currently working at Costco headquarters again, though as a visual designer this time. I still use a lot of the tools and tricks learned in the production team, but I now have much more creative freedom and variety. I also work across different platforms in this current team, and help out our senior management with specialized projects. Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, DreamWeaver, Google Docs, and an Internal Management System.
